At least not in this decade. 10,000+ Italians gathered in Rome last week to protest the Iranian President's recent comments against Israel. Thousands of Europeans gathering in support of Israel? Amazing. Yes, I know far more would likely gather in support of the Palestinians or to protest a visit by President Bush. But it's progress. Maybe the world - at least the civilized world - is finally beginning to accept that Israel has a right to exist. Next step: British citizens protesting attacks on civilians by Hamas. I won't hold my breath.
