I should have known that I spoke too soon. It took less than 24 hours for lawmakers to rescind the federal cuts to PBS's budget, after Clifford and Big Bird came to the capital to protest.
But there are a couple silver linings: First, Corporation for Public Broadcasting Chariman, Kenneth Tomlinson appointed an ombudsman last month to oversee its programs and to revise its editorial practices (little things like labeling editorials as such). Second, Patricia Harrison, former co-chairwoman to the Republican National Committee, has been named President to the corporation.
Democrats are incensed, worried that Harrison's past may lead her to turn PBS into a bastion of conservative thought. Of course, turning the public airwaves into a platform for the Republican party would be a big job. They've been home to the Democrats for so long.
Blogs are good for every one where we get lots of information for any topics nice job keep it up !!!
